Matt Hardy recently allowed his contract to expire before walking away from WWE to later join All Elite Wrestling, but this isn't the first time that Hardy has left the company.

On two separate occasions in both 2005 and 2010, Matt Hardy was unhappy with the situation surrounding him and took to the internet to vent, which led to his WWE release. Of course, back in 2005, it was the situation surrounding Edge and Lita and he was rehired a few days later.

Five years later, Hardy had decided that he wanted to be released by WWE and began posting strange videos online, before later claiming that he was doing everything that he could to be released by WWE at that time.

Hardy would self destruct on Twitter and Youtube with tweets much like this one:

When WWE announced Hardy's release from the company in October that year, the former Champion actually celebrated. The Tweets and videos have since been deleted.
