Now there is nothing wrong with Jeff Hardy replacing Sami Zayn on the SmackDown team at Survivor Series. It's just that Jeff hasn't really done much since joining the blue brand following the 2021 WWE Draft. Sami, on the other hand, is the self-proclaimed locker room leader.

Sami should really have figured out how to drive a wedge on the blue team and create some compelling scenarios. Imagine Zayn running around claiming he is the team captain and believing the roster are seeing him as such. It feels like a missed opportunity, plus Sami is just great to watch in the ring and would have slotted in nicely against Team RAW.

AJ Styles, one of the top wrestlers in the world, is currently advertised for a meaningless 25-man RAW vs. SmackDown Battle Royal at Survivor Series. The former WWE Champion has been absent for a few weeks, but he definitely belongs in a big match on the card.

He would have been the perfect solution for the final spot on the RAW team. How good of a team would it have been with Styles included? It just feels like a waste of Styles' talents, especially on one of WWE's biggest shows of the year.
