It's not too difficult to wrap your head around the fact that the Drew McIntyre who's in WWE now hasn't faced John Cena in singles action, given they've both mostly been faces during that time and Cena hasn't wrestled all that much.

But when you cast your mind back to McIntyre's first run in WWE when he was being billed as the chosen one and presented as an arrogant heel, it makes absolutely no sense that he never feuded with Cena.

Admittedly they have been in the same ring plenty of times. Cena and David Otunga won the tag team titles off of McIntyre and Cody Rhodes, and both lost a Fatal Four Way match to Finn Balor.
Drew McIntyre has expressed his wish to face John Cena still. Given that he remains in and around the main event on Monday Night RAW there's every chance that WWE decide to do the match somewhere down the line!
