A few weeks ago, Chad Gable was still known as Shorty G and wasn't being taken seriously on the SmackDown brand. The former Tag Team Champion then made the decision to bin the name that the company had given to him last year and go back to the name that he had become a tag team champion with.

Gable is a former Olympic wrestler and has proved his strength and ability several times when pulling off his incredible German Suplex. The fact that Gable has been able to revert back to his old name in recent weeks means that WWE must have some plan for the former NXT star.

Gable proved throughout his time in NXT that he was a fantastic tag team wrestler and was able to get to the final of the King of the Ring tournament before he became the butt of several jokes in WWE about his height.

The former Champion could be an integral part of Team SmackDown against the likes of AJ Styles, Sheamus, Keith Lee, and Braun Strowman.
