The Rock has been a hot subject of conversation over the past week in regards to his return to WWE. It appears that even though the plan is still for The Rock to face off against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38, he could return to the company much sooner.
Rumors now suggest that The Rock could return to WWE at Survivor Series and this could then allow the storyline to take a number of swerves. The Rock could return to the company as an ally for Reigns since The Rock was by his side a few years ago when he won The Royal Rumble.
Once integrated into the family, The Rock could then make it clear that he is actually The Head of the Table which would allow the storyline to turn into a power struggle.
If The Rock returns to Survivor Series then the company has several months to allow this story to play out. At present it's unclear if The Rock is returning as a face or a heel, but either one could work since he could always turn again in a few months' time.
