Carrillo needs change.

It has been over seven months since his WWE main roster debut, but Humberto Carrillo has stagnated after some initial promise. He looked like he was getting a push on RAW, but the former 205 Live man needs a new direction. Despite his fantastic in-ring skills, Carrillo has not been able to click on the Red brand.

He has not been given much of an opportunity to speak, further distancing himself from any character development. Right now, Carrillo simply feels like a jobber to the stars. Last night on RAW, he faced Murphy and lost. There has to be a breaking point for him following his lack of direction.

Whether he joins Seth Rollins and his disciples, or Zelina Vega's Latino faction, Carrillo is in desperate need of a change in character. He would benefit from a heel turn and being a part of a group. Rollins could help light the way for the Mexican, unlocking the potential which was very evident when he first started on RAW.

In an interesting tidbit, Humberto Carrillo's first match on the Red brand was against Seth Rollins. So maybe, the 'Monday Night Messiah' could welcome him into his faction with open arms. It would be a rewarding piece of long-term storytelling.
