Drew McIntyre is on top of the world at the moment, and after defeating Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 36, the Superstar has successfully defended his title against Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, two of WWE’s biggest Superstars. Keith Lee recently arrived at WWE RAW and has already defeated Orton at WWE Payback.

However, before his arrival, Lee and his friend McIntyre did a little question and answer session along with a photoshoot while Lee was still the NXT Champion. WWE also took to social media to tease that Lee trained with an old friend before NXT TakeOver XXX.

Lee’s debut match against Orton was ruined by McIntyre, and The Limitless One had the following to say following the disappointing result:

"I am going to answer because it is ridiculous. Do you see my size? Here's the reality. Tonight, you saw a snippet of what I am capable of. And it was spoilt by my own friend but I also understand his side of things. He is going through a lot with Mr. Orton. He has seen a lot of people get damaged, that he has grown up fans of, being kicked in the head. He is upset, I understand. But, I watched my friend get loaded into an ambulance, and driven out."

Speaking to Newsweek, McIntyre revealed that he was more than excited to have Lee on RAW and expected that fans would finally get that Lee vs. McIntyre match we’ve all dreamt about.

“He's like myself, he's a hybrid, you know? He's a big guy, but he can do it all. I think we're gonna see some exciting stuff from him and hopefully finally get that Keith Lee/Drew McIntyre match since I show up in Evolve and he powerbombs me out of the company. I show up at NXT when I was rehired and I tore my bicep and I never got to go back to wrestle at NXT.

I show up on NXT [during Survivor Series] and kick Dijakovic and Lee shows up and power bombs me again! Maybe we'll finally get to have that match.”

Both men have never competed against each other, and it’d be great to see them go head to head on RAW with a big title on the line.
