On this episode of Monday Night RAW WWE decided to hold a seven man gauntlet match which John Cena was part of and the first sixty minutes of that match were dominated by one man - Monday Night Rollins.

In one of the biggest RAW moments we've seen for some time, Seth Rollins overcame John Cena in singles action, making him one of a handful of people to do so.

To make that achievement even more memorable, however, Rollins had previously beaten Roman Reigns just minutes before toppling Cena. This will undoubtedly make Seth Rollins the only person ever in WWE to beat both Roman Reigns and John Cena cleanly on the same night.

That's quite the accolade, especially when you see what John Cena and Roman Reigns are currently doing in WWE and beyond. This moment launched Rollins as a white-hot babyface on RAW and when he lost to Elias in the third match-up of the gauntlet he received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Whilst it was all to further the 'how will Cena get to WrestleMania' storyline at the time, this is one of the few examples in recent times where John Cena losing cleanly has helped to elevate another Superstar. It worked perfectly.
