We're still a bit confused about the hacker storyline on SmackDown, but we hope that RETRIBUTION doesn't follow the same fate. In case you're not aware, or simply haven't been following the WWE product for the last few months, then we'll explain.
A few months ago, there was a hacker on SmackDown who "exposed" Sonya Deville and Dolph Ziggler's cunning plan and teased having a much bigger presence on SmackDown.
Instead, the angle was canceled (though there was a small hint of it returning on the July 31st episode of SmackDown) and it seemed as though Mustafa Ali was all but set to return as the hacker. We can only hope that WWE follows through with RETRIBUTION.
Mustafa Ali would make great sense as the leader of RETRIBUTION as it would add a whole new element to his character. We've seen a good guy Mustafa Ali, who has the potential to be a big-money star for WWE in the future. Making him lead RETRIBUTION can add an edge to his character that might be needed to take his career to the next level.
