#1. 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena
Judging by this list, it seems as if there are a lot of major free agents in WWE who haven't appeared on either RAW or SmackDown for quite a while. John Cena may be the one to top them all.
The last time John Cena was seen in WWE, The Leader of the Cenation was involved in a feud against Bray Wyatt which concluded at this year's WrestleMania. The Fiend changes the personality of his opponents, and John Cena shouldn't be an exception to this rule.
There are several ways in which WWE can bring back John Cena as a different character, and because of the curiosity behind his changed persona, as well as the added star-power from his recent projects in Hollywood, Cena could be a game-changer for WWE by the time next year's WrestleMania comes around.
As per Dave Meltzer, John Cena could return to WWE for WrestleMania 37.
You know come WrestleMania season they’re gonna talk to John Cena and they’re gonna talk to Undertaker. I mean it’s just how it is no matter what they say now. A lot of times those guys come back.
Keep in mind that legends like Goldberg and The Undertaker weren't included in this list because they've aged to a point where their presence might not have any long-term consequences within the current landscape of WWE, whereas John Cena could embark on an intriguing run and face some up-and-coming stars on a relatively frequent basis when he returns.
A new version of John Cena vs. The Tribal Chief version of Roman Reigns could be the most mainstream WWE match if it happens in the near future.
