May it be a star in TNA, Ring of Honor or any other promotion around the world, all the wrestlers who set their foot into the squared circle has dreamt of making their mark one day at WrestleMania.
And when we talk about making their mark in WrestleMania most of the names that comes into our mind are big main eventers who used to be around any of the major title scene for most of the time. Names like Steve Austin, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and John Cena are sure to give a show at WrestleMania even in their sleep.
But there are certain potion of the roster whose accomplishments mostly go unnoticed. This year is no different as well with so many talented names away from the main event are tying their boots to give the match of their life when given the limelight.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
So let’s take a look at those wrestlers who could make their mark at WrestleMania without the luxury of a main event storyline.
5 – Alexandre Rusev
The Bulgarian Brute has been making his presence felt throughout the WWE with his trademark promos in SmackDown and Raw.
But still the WWE hasn’t given this big guy to gaze a big stage apart from the Royal Rumble match. From the looks of it, the writers have been saving him for a WrestleMania debut which could leave the fans with a new heel to jeer for.
Rusev is someone who just likes to dominate his opponents with his sheer physicality and from the matches he had back in NXT, he is well placed for a monster push.
So getting a win over some midcarder at WrestleMania will be the inception of his ride.
4 – Seth Rollins
Rollins clearly has a great story backup but the reason why he found place in the list is since he is one of the most underrated stars in the roster.
Rollins is clearly among the best technicians in WWE at the moment and it’s a sad thing that the company decided to give all the limelight to Reigns and overshadow Rollins.
If we recall a bit back, Rollins was the runner up iron man in the Royal Rumble and was also the last member to be eliminated before Reigns cleaned the house. Expect a similar performance from Rollins this time around also no matter what type of match he is put into.
Being the former NXT and ROH champion, Rollins clearly knows how to excel in singles competition as well so WrestleMania will be the turning point for his career if the shield explodes.
3 – Big E
Big E got derailed from his big push after crossing paths with Randy Orton in one episode of SmackDown.
The man who started to settle in the main event scene soon fell to the midcard with his intercontinental title and was seen booked inconsistently. However, Big E will finally get the stage to show himself once he gets into WrestleMania to defend his title.
No matter whom his opponent is going to be, Big E is going to walk out of WrestleMania as the champion which will reignite the push he had.
With the part timers heading back after the pay-per-view, the win at WrestleMania is going to keep his momentum high for that main event push.
2 – The Usos
With WWE deciding to split up each and every team that cross their sights, the tag team division might just be heading for a big reconstruction.
And now, they have credible champions to build the division around as well. The Usos has been one of the most consistent teams in the division and no one is going to argue whether they deserve the title or not.
Heading into WrestleMania as champions isn’t an easy thing to start with, but Rikishi’s sons would know one or two things about the grand stage.
From the TLC matches from the attitude era, Tag teams have always had a special place in WrestleMania and this year it will be the Usos’ turn to shine.
1 – Antonio Cesaro
How can this list be complete without Cesaro?
Cesaro is one of the breakout stars of last year and the company is well lined to give him a babyface push that the fans have been asking for.
The split up angle of the Real Americans will be the platform for Cesaro to shine at WrestleMania and he is sure to produce a stellar performance. Keep keen eyes on Cesaro this year since next year he might not be seen in the mid card seen as he will be busy knocking out big fishes.
Cesaro lets his in ring skills compensate for the lack of the main event scene and this year, WrestleMania might be known for being the pay-per-view where Cesaro broke out.
