Batista and John Cena's main-event pushes came at the same time.

Batista's first stint with WWE saw him becoming a major star in the company. He made his main roster debut in 2002. Less than three years later, he won the Royal Rumble match and then became the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 21. After feuding with the likes of The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Edge, and many others, Batista established himself as one of the most successful Superstars in WWE history alongside John ena. The Animal parted ways with WWE in 2010 and went on to pursue a career in Hollywood.

During an interview, Batista said he left WWE as the company wasn't giving him the opportunities that he deserved and, instead, they were being passed to Vince McMahon's favorite guy John Cena, who was featured in almost every movie or commercial that was produced by WWE.

Batista also took a shot at John Cena when he said he didn't need to come out every week with new t-shirts or wristbands and worry about becoming the biggest merchandise seller in WWE. Furthermore, Batista was asked if he'd ever cross paths with Cena inside a WWE ring again. Interestingly, the Animal shot down this idea.

Taking all of these factors into account, it's safe to say that Batista dislikes John Cena.
