Former WWE star Chris Jericho has managed to rub a number of stars the wrong way on Twitter over the years, but interestingly one of his biggest real-life feuds actually began as a storyline angle.
The former WWE star was originally set to face the Hollywood star Mickey Rourke at WrestleMania 25, until Rourke called him out at the SAG Awards. He was then pulled from the match by his agents.
Vince McMahon wasn't impressed because he wanted to announce the match after the Oscars, but at that point, the match was already off. In the buildup to the match, the two men appeared on Larry King. With Y2J in full character, he managed to legitimately upset Rourke.
The night before WrestleMania, Mickey Rourke then showed up with three bodyguards and was ready to have a real fight with Jericho. The former WWE star explained in his book that he had to diffuse the situation. He explained that it was all acting, before Rourke was then part of WrestleMania and knocked him out as planned.
