#1. Rey Mysterio could face Dominik Mysterio in his final WWE match

Dominik Mysterio has been doing well in WWE alongside Rey Mysterio. The two became the first father-son duo in WWE to hold the tag team championships of the company together.

Many fans expect WWE to book a rivalry between Rey and Dominik before the former hangs up his boots. It looked like WWE was sowing the seeds for a rivalry between the two superstars a couple of months ago but backed out on the plans.

Dominik recently revealed in an interview that he would like to take on Rey Mysterio in a match at some point:

"Yes, most definitely. I think that'll be -- that's still a long time from now, but I remember all the spankings he gave me as a kid. So, I'm sure our match will come."

Dominik has also spoken about how his association with his father in WWE will eventually lead to him taking over the Rey Mysterio name and mask:

“Most definitely. I think the long goal here, the endgame, is to eventually take over the Rey Mysterio name. That’s the legacy within it. He’s Rey Mysterio. It’s only right to make a Jr. Traditionally in Lucha culture, and in Hispanic culture, that’s tradition. That’s what you do. I kind of just showed up and Dom Mysterio organically happened. Everything happened so fast.”

Dominik’s comments suggest that he is ready to take on his father in WWE and possibly retire him. Even though Rey Mysterio may not be in favor of the idea, it could be the perfect way for the future WWE Hall of Famer to say goodbye to the ring.
