It is quite clear that a singles push is in store for Big E in the near future. Kofi Kingston, a former WWE Champion, recently gave his blessing to his New Day stablemate. Big E delivered an incredible promo on Talking Smack, while debating with The Miz. A logical step towards turning Big E into a major singles star is to have him feud with Roman Reigns sometime in the future.

Roman Reigns needs a major babyface to work with, and Big E is currently garnering tons of fan support. When Big E returns from his storyline injury, a feud with Roman Reigns would make sense.
Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
Big E doesn't need to win the Universal title right away, and definitely doesn't need to win a feud against Reigns. We have seen how effective a slow-burn was for Kofi Kingston, and it made his 'Mania moment all the more special. Let Big E struggle for a long time, and have him in a series of matches with Reigns, and The New Day star winning one of them.
That would be enough to cement the thought in the minds of fans that Big E is capable of hanging with the very best. That way, Roman Reigns beats a beloved babyface on multiple occasions, and puts him over with that one rare loss as well.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback.
