WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, also known as 'The Hardcore Legend', declared on Twitter this week in honor of the legendary Terry Funk:

"Terry Funk is the greatest wrestler I have ever seen. No one made it easier to believe than The Funker."

It was with Terry Funk that Foley got a dose of hardcore wrestling action, with extreme and brutal battles in Japan. The Japanese style of hardcore wrestling was at a much higher level than had ever been seen Stateside. This only made Foley even more wicked when it came to these types of matches.

in WWE, Mick Foley competed in a handful of hardcore matches. Two of his most famous are against Randy Orton and Edge, respectively.

At Backlash 2004, Mick Foley really put Randy Orton on the map with a performance for the ages. Randy Orton has described the match as the best match of his career.

The hardcore match against Edge at WrestleMania 22 was also a performance for the ages. At the ECW One Night Stand 2006 event just a few months later, Foley aligned himself with Edge to take on the team of Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer.

Foley put everything on the line, even losing an ear during a match with Vader. The hardcore legend's impact on the business will forever be remembered.

#3 Kane - WWE Inferno Match

If you play with fire you're bound to get burned, but that doesn't apply when it comes to 'The Big Red Machine' Kane.

Kane is known for his use of fire and pyrotechnics, and that applies to his specialty match type, the Inferno Match.

The rules of the Inferno Match are fairly straight forward, the first person to set their opponent on fire, wins. Fire surrounds the ring throughout the whole match until someone's flesh is burning.

Kane has appeared in almost all of the Inferno Matches in WWE history. He has faced The Undertaker twice, Triple H and MVP. Variations of the match have happened in WWE, such as the renamed Ring of Fire match, with the same rules, as Kane battled Bray Wyatt.

When you enter into a rivalry with Kane, this is definitely the type of match you want to avoid.
