The destinies of these two women will be intertwined for the rest of the year.

She missed out on the MITB match due to friction with her best friend, Bayley. While that may be the case, it appears that The Boss might be in for a bigger program heading into one of the more prestigious shows of the year in SummerSlam.

Banks winning the briefcase would have written itself as she could easily cash in on Bayley and kick-start a feud that many people have been waiting for. Instead, her failure to qualify for the contest is being used in a longer, more drawn-out angle.

The Role Model has had a stranglehold on the Blue brand's title scene for the better part of the last year. It's well past time for a change. The women's MITB seems to be a bit more wide open as any woman from RAW could win as could Lacey Evans or Mandy Rose/Carmella. Banks will be in the title scene regardless of missing out on the the match for the briefcase. Her status as one of the Four Horsewomen means that she can be interjected into any title scene at any point.

While this potential feud wouldn't be coming out of left field, it would force one woman to turn face. Banks and Bayley are going to square off for the Rolemodel's title at some point this year and The Boss may be the one to wrest the title off her friend's shoulder.
