Randy Orton did the unthinkable back at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs when he set The Fiend on fire in order to win their Firefly Inferno match. Orton was able to win the match when The Fiend's leather jacket caught fire on the outside of the ring, but The Viper took it one step further when he stepped out of the ring to pick up a box of matches and used them to set The Fiend fully on fire.

The Fiend hasn't been seen since but has seemingly been sending messages to The Viper through Alexa Bliss, who has become the deranged stars' best friend. Bliss most recently threw a fireball in the face of Randy Orton on Monday Night RAW which has served to prolong their already lengthy rivalry.
If The Fiend doesn't make his return in time to face Randy Orton in a gimmick match at the Royal Rumble in a few weeks' time, then it's believed that WWE could push this rivalry all the way to WrestleMania instead.
