Former Shield teammates Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose squared off inside Hell in a Cell in 2014

WWE Hell in a Cell 2014 saw Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose's first matches inside The Devil's Playground respectively.

The former Shield teammates had been feuding for several months on WWE television. This all stemmed from Rollins turning his back on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, disbanding The Shield in the process.

The brothers-turned-enemies looked to finally settle their feud inside Hell in a Cell. But before the match could even begin, Dean Ambrose scaled the Hell in a Cell structure during his entrance.

After being distracted by Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury, Ambrose was attacked on top of the cell by Seth Rollins, who had sneakily climbed up from the opposite side.

Both WWE Superstars continued to attack each other while perched on the side of the cell. Eventually, they both fell off the structure and crashed through two announcers' tables at ringside.

Rollins and Ambrose were both placed onto stretchers at ringside by medical personnel. However, Ambrose recovered and continued to attack his former Shield partner.

This led to both participants entering the Hell in a Cell structure and the match officially beginning.
