Xia Li returned to NXT on January 6, 2021, after weeks of vignettes that saw her and Boa being punished regularly for their "failures". The transformed Xia Li has been a force to reckon with on NXT.

She defeated Katrina Cortez, Valentina Feroz, and Cora Jade, all within a few weeks. Next, she defeated Kacy Catanzaro in February. Her domination didn't stop there. In March, Li defeated Kayden Carter, bringing her record to 5-0.
She teamed with Mei Ying to defeat Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in a tag team bout. Next, she then started a feud with one of the top names in NXT's women's division - Mercedes Martinez.
At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Xia Li defeated Mercedes Martinez, picking up her WWE career's biggest win so far. Support from Boa in her matches has gone a long way towards her achieving her record.
