This would be monumental for Drew McIntyre

The best part about having a legend like Edge around is that he can receive a WWE or Universal Championship opportunity simply because he's Edge - an 11-time World Champion.

Nobody would question it either since the idea of Edge competing for the WWE Championship after over a decade is surreal in itself. Nobody needs to be a heel in the feud and all that's required are good promos and a great build.

Luckily, Drew McIntyre and Edge are both great on the mic, which means that the promos leading up to the match would likely be incredible as well. Naturally, it wouldn't make too much sense for Edge to win. However, a great match where he looks good in defeat would suffice and it would have no negative impact on his stock whatsoever.

On the other hand, it would do wonders for McIntyre's reign as WWE Champion. It would be a big victory that would help his stock grow and we don't doubt that Edge would be happy to put him over.
