The Undertaker, real name: Mark Calaway, is a superstar who will definitely be in the "Top WWE Superstars in history" list of almost everyone. The man has been wrestling for almost 3 decades now, and WWE still relies on him at times to draw crowds and up the ratings.
The "Dead Man" gimmick is arguably the greatest creation of Vince McMahon, but it was this man whose efforts made it possible to make this a memorable character in the hearts of every fan.
The Undertaker, other than being an awesome character, is also a great wrestler and has given some of the best matches during his prime in pro-wrestling, especially his WrestleMania encounter with the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels.
His once undefeated streak of 21-0 at WrestleMania is a feat that I'm pretty sure will never be replicated again, I don't even see anyone coming anywhere close to it either.

But for the last few years, fans have started realizing that age is not on Undertaker's side anymore. His work inside the ring has been affected, as it's clear with each of his matches that The Phenom is pushing his limits beyond his body's scope. There's only so long a superstar can wrestle. At the age of 54, we never know which match might be his last one.
In this article, let's take a look at 5 WWE Superstars who can finally retire The Undertaker and let him rest in peace. Do let me know who you think deserves to have this honor.
#5 Aleister Black
There's a very famous concept in pro-wrestling called "passing the torch", which basically refers to an old wrestler giving a rub to a new wrestler who is suitable enough to replace him. We have seen numerous moments of this like Hogan putting over The Rock, John Cena putting over Roman Reigns, etc.
Considering how legendary The Undertaker has been, him passing the torch to a new-generation superstar would be a huge moment. If we look at the current roster, one superstar who has a gimmick very close to The Phenom is the Dutch Destroyer, Aleister Black.
A feud against Undertaker could make Black the new master of the dark side, and fans could once again witness why supernatural stuff in wrestling could be awesome.
#4 John Cena
The Undertaker has had such a remarkable career that he deserves to go out at the hands of another legendary superstar. Enter, John Cena! These two had a very awkward rivalry last year at WrestleMania, which many still believe was left incomplete.
It'll be interesting to see whether these two icons clash sometime in the future again or not, but Cena would be a perfect candidate to retire 'Taker especially considering their history together.
#3 Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker have had a feud previously during WrestleMania 31, but unfortunately, that didn't do much good for Bray as The Phenom quite convincingly defeated him at the Show of Shows.
Bray debuted a new gimmick a couple of weeks ago, The Firefly Fun House. The gimmick portrays him as a changed man who loves kids, but we've seen Bray showing signs of already breaking into a maniac in his promos. Many fans, including me, are very interested to see how WWE plays along with this gimmick, because of the immense possibilities it has.
A feud between The Undertaker and a revamped Bray Wyatt at next year's WrestleMania, ending with Bray retiring the Dead Man would genuinely make Bray the new face of fear.
#2 Sting
Throughout his career, The Undertaker has faced a large number of wrestlers inside the squared circle. But one opponent that fans have long been waiting to see go one-on-one against the Phenom is The Icon, Sting.
This is a dream match not just for the fans, but also the wrestler involved, as Sting has openly mentioned that he'll only come out of his retirement if he gets to face The Undertaker. While we still don't know whether we'll ever get to see this match or not, a match against Sting will surely be a great option to end Taker's career.
#1 The Demon King - Finn Balor
Finn Balor is the top contender in my list to retire The Undertaker. Reasons? Because he is the future.
I spoke about a "passing the torch" moment as well as a legendary character retiring The Undertaker. Why not someone who can match both criteria? Finn Balor's Demon King persona is the most protected character in WWE right now. Also, the aura that Finn creates as the Demon King is something extraordinary.
I'm sure fans would love to see these two face each other in the ring before The Undertaker hangs up his shoes. Not just the match, but the whole rivalry between these two would be a treat to the fans. The mind games, the intensity, the horror, and everything else would be worth watching.
