#3 Elias: Intercontinental Championship

Elias is a very deserving candidate for a title run.

The WWE Universe has made it very clear how much they want to walk with Elias over the last couple of years and one has to imagine that it would parlay into a title shot sooner or later. Given how brilliant Elias is on the microphone and how easily he can play off of a heel character, he is the perfect mid-card babyface.

Keep in mind that Elias was the one that WWE chose to participate in The New Year's eve time square special on FOX and even got to do a song leading into one of the breaks. If nothing else, this proves that the company sees him as someone with a sort of mainstream appeal to him and a person they think highly of.

Elias has never tasted the title gold he has so rightfully deserved over the course of his career, so why not make him the foil to Sami Zayn and his faction? Not only would it make for some of the most memorable television on SmackDown's mid-card, but it would also be a crowning moment for a man that has deserved it for a long time.
