#3 Dominik Mysterio
Let me put it out there that this is a left-field choice. The last time when Dominik was on WWE television was at Survivor Series 2019, where he pulled off the 619 and the Frog Splash on Brock Lesnar. There have been rumors that WWE wants to debut Dominik in 2020, and while he may debut on NXT, what better way to have an impact by possibly winning the title in your first feud?
There can be many ways to this. WWE can renew the rivalry between Andrade and Rey Mysterio, with Andrade defeating Mysterio in a title vs mask match and retiring the latter. Dominik can then step up to avenge his father and win the US title. WWE can go a step further too, having Dominik win the title from Andrade, in his debut match.

While the second option may seem to be an unlikely possibility, stranger things have happened in the past in WWE. Remember when Santino Marella won the Intercontinental title after debuting from the crowd?
