Mike Kanellis has had a tough time since signing with the WWE in 2017, with his wife Maria Kanellis. Kanellis, who wrestled as Mike Bennett in the indies, has had issues with addiction to painkillers, which he even spoke about in a WWE film.

Kanellis had a brief run on SmackDown, with the Power of Love gimmick alongside his wife, but that storyline soon dropped and he has been featured mostly on WWE's Main Event show.
The former TNA and NJPW Superstar could very well sign with the AEW, having wrestled with and against The Young Bucks prior to his stint in the WWE. Kanellis is a talented wrestler who could be a good mid-card wrestler in AEW, or even battle it out for tag team gold. At 33 years of age, he still has a lot to offer in pro wrestling but it will most likely not happen in WWE.
