When The Big Guy arrived in WWE, the creative team heavily pushed him. However, the push lasted only some months before WWE made him a mid-card wrestler.

Ryback's career was going nowhere and it made sense that he left the company. He has also been very vocal about his conflicts with WWE and it seems like he dug his own grave in the process. As per The Big Guy, money and broken promises were the reasons behind his departure as he felt his pay check was much lower than what he actually deserved and Vince lied to him.

He demanded his release and seeing no future in the Big Guy, WWE let him go. Ryback thought he would become the next blockbuster Superstar but he didn't. His schedule has become much lighter than before but that's because nobody seems much interested in booking him. The former Intercontinental Champion also runs his own nutrition supplement business which also isn't doing that well.
