Recently, Alberto Del Rio apologized to WWE

Alberto Del Rio is also one of Vince McMahon's failed projects in WWE. He was destined to become a megastar but the lack of creative support made him a mid-carder. Del Rio has already gotten fired from the WWE 2 times and it seems likes he will never make his way back to it again.

In 2014, Alberto hit a Social Media manager of WWE--who allegedly made a racist joke on him--after which the company fired him. It took him 2 more years to return to this promotion again and this time, Del Rio left on his own terms. He claimed that WWE promised him many great things which they never fulfilled.

Alberto then returned to independent circuit and also joined Impact Wrestling later. However, this time as well, he left a bad impression when he no-showed during Impact Wrestling vs Lucha in the Underground event in 2018, which also got him fired. The Mexican Superstar is still working as an indie wrestler and it seems like he has made a rod for his own back.
