5 WWE Superstars who had publicised affairs

There are more couples in WWE right now than ever before, but over the past few years, there have been a number of WWE couples who were in the news for all the wrong reasons.

WWE superstars work closely together and are on the road with the company for more than 300 days a year. This means that there have been a number of superstars who have had their head turned by a fellow star, even though they were already in a relationship.

Many of these stars also had their personal lives shared all over the news when word about them becoming more than just friends with a colleague began to spread.

#5 Batista

Batista had a well-known affair with Melina back in 2006

Former World Champion Batista has become a star in Hollywood over the past few years, but he is still best remembered for his time as part of WWE.

Batista released his first autobiography back in 2006 called "Unleashed" where he admitted that he and former WWE Women's Champion Melina had an affair back in 2005.

Melina and Batista were part of a WWE storyline at the time where the former WWE Diva was seen flirting with Batista to help MNM get out of their match with "The Animal" and Rey Mysterio later that night.

This later led to a real-life affair between Melina and Batista that cost him his marriage and almost cost Melina her relationship with fellow WWE star John Morrison.

#4 Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle admitted to an affair with his stalker

The General Manager of Monday Night Raw has quite a checkered past when it comes to his relationships.

Kurt Angle was once married to a woman called Karen, who later went on to marry Jeff Jarrett after the couple agreed that they could use their love triangle as a storyline in TNA.

Back in 2008, Angle was part of a reality show called "The Real Angle" where he admitted that he had cheated on his wife Karen. He said that he had slept with a woman who had been stalking him and even threatened to kill his wife.

Luckily, the woman was later arrested and after Karen and Kurt Angle were divorced, he was able to move on to remarry Giovanna Yanotti, the woman he credits with saving his life when he was struggling with addiction.

#3 Sunny

Sunny has admitted to numerous affairs over the past few years

Sunny is often credited as being the first ever WWE Diva, but the reputation that followed her throughout her career is not something that WWE would want to be attached to in their current PG era.

Sunny was dating Chris Candido throughout her career whilst she was working for WWE, but she also recently admitted that during the time she was with Candido, she was having an affair with Shawn Michaels.

Michaels had his own fair share of problems in the 1990s and it seems that Sunny was a shoulder to cry on. Michaels moved on to marry former Nitro Girl Whisper, whilst Sunny has gone on to continue making claims about her personal life over the past few years.

#2 Lita

Matt Hardy and Lita had a very public break-up

Lita is a former four-time Women's Champion and a WWE Hall of Famer, but sadly despite what Lita achieved inside a WWE ring, she will always be remembered for her actions outside of it.

Back in 2005, Lita was in a relationship with Matt Hardy when he was injured and put out of action for a number of months. Rather than have Lita off TV with her boyfriend, WWE decided to align her with Edge instead.

This later led to an affair between Edge and Lita that became public knowledge when Matt Hardy found out.

The North Carolina native was fired before WWE realised that they could cash in on this and later turned the love triangle into a WWE storyline.

Hardy later moved on and is now married with two children whilst Edge went on to marry Beth Pheonix and the couple have two daughters.

#1 Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio was married when he revealed that he was dating Paige

Alberto Del Rio is a former World Champion in WWE, who made his return to the company back in 2015. Del Rio was married when he made his return to the company, but this didn't stop him from announcing that he was dating fellow WWE star Paige back in the spring of 2016.

Del Rio's wife later confirmed that the couple were still married and then filed for divorce when it was obvious that her husband was hoping to move on and marry Paige.
