AJ Styles is one of the most talented wrestlers of the current roster and has the capability of making any match that he is a part of something to watch. During the Survivor Series pay-per-view in 2016, WWE champion AJ Styles was the leader of SmackDown Live which would take part in 5-on-5 classic Survivor Series match against Raw. During that time two halves of The Shield, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were members of The Raw and Dean Ambrose was a part of SmackDown Live roster.

In the match, although he was eliminated Dean Ambrose came back and started attacking AJ Styles. He helped his Shield brothers in putting The Phenomenal One down with a vicious triple powerbomb over the announce table. During this storyline, The Shield was not a single unit at that time but for a few minutes seeing all the three members together left the WWE universe rejoicing.
