Paul Burchill might have been one of the best wrestlers in the history of the company to never get the push that he deserved. Throughout his career, Burchill came close to Superstardom, but never really broke through the ceiling that would have seen him become the best version of himself.
Instead, he is best remembered for an incest angle with his sister from the Attitude Era, and then being given the gimmick of a pirate. To be fair, Burchill did a good job as a pirate, but it was still disappointing given the potential he had.
When Burchill left WWE, it was to move on to bigger and better things. No, not as a wrestler. Instead, he found a new career path altogether, which would see him helping people. The former WWE pirate became a first-responder as a firefighter and a paramedic.
Burchill will remain another name that WWE's creative team failed to put in the right direction.
