#2 Bobby Lashley

The fact that Bobby Lashley was one of Vince Mcmahon's pet projects in the late 2000's is not a secret anymore. The Dominator was one of the top Superstars in the company during the said period. This push during this time can only be compared to how Roman Reigns is booked currently.
He won the ECW and United States Championship during this time and had a lengthy feud with the Chairman of the company, Vince McMahon over the ECW championship before being released by the company in February of 2008. Lashley then signed with TNA/Impact Wrestling and had a successful run with the company holding the TNA World Heavyweight, X-Division and King of the Mountain Championship simultaneously at one point.
Parallelly, the Colorado native would also dabble in the field on mixed arts field where he holds a 15-2 record in the heavyweight division.
Lashley returned to the WWE at the RAW after WrestleMania 34 in April this year to a not-so-warm response from the fans. While Lashley was expected to set the stage on fire on the red brand, he hasn't had the kind of impact that people thought he would have. Add to that, his terrible feud with Sami Zayn which included one the worst WWE segments of this decade.
Just when it seemed like Lashley was finally gaining some much-needed momentum after his victory over Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules, he lost to Reigns two weeks ago in a stipulation where the winner will get a chance to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam in a clear case of 50-50 booking. This loss destroyed whatever little credibility the Dominator had achieved in his current run and now he is singing country song with Elias.
