Ravishing Rick Rude was the guy that every man in the 80s and 90s wanted to be and the guy that every woman wanted to be with. His calm and calculated persona mixed in with his sexual nature captured the imagination of the audience, and whether they were booing him or cheering him, he always managed to garner a reaction.

Rude’s sleazy moustache played a big part in that, with a lot of men taking the time to consider, “hey, maybe that’s why he’s getting all the girls”.

It was an iconic look that became even more synonymous with his work when he appeared on Nitro and Raw on the same night, with WCW earning the privilege of seeing him with just the moustache as opposed to the full beard.
