After shocking everyone with his appearance at the 2014 Survivor Series, Sting made his in-ring debut for WWE at WrestleMania 31. He had made a name for himself, wrestling for WCW and other promotions. However, the fans did not expect The Franchise to perform inside a WWE ring one day.
Sting kicked off a rivalry with The Authority after Survivor Series, which led to a singles match between him and Triple H at the Showcase of Immortals. The Game emerged victorious in the bout that was made more special with the appearance of nWo and DX.
Sting later showed up on a RAW episode where he began his rivalry with Seth Rollins. The Vigilante unsuccessfully challenged The Architect for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash of Champions in what turned out of be his last match due to the neck injury he suffered.
Given how big a name he was in wrestling, WWE inducted him in the Hall of Fame class of 2016. With that induction, he achieved a rare feat of being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame as well as TNA’s Hall of Fame.
