Goldberg went on to eliminate Lesnar in the Royal Rumble match. After he won the Universal title from Kevin Owens at Fastlane, Goldberg was set to face off against Brock Lesnar one final time at Mania. The match didn't last long this time too, but Lesnar managed to put down Goldberg after an F5, finally getting a win over the master of the spear. Goldberg was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017 and is likely to stay retired for good this time.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
