Being a heel in WWE isn't a walk in the park in the least.

Superstars like Daniel Bryan have succeeded in turning heel and running along with it. Bryan has turned into an eccentric who wants to save the planet from the people who inhabit it. Along with Eric Rowan, he is nailing his role on Tuesday nights.

On the other hand, we have Superstars like Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin, who the fans have stopped caring about since a long while. The trio has spent the better part of 2019 attacking Braun Strowman on multiple occasions, without the fans getting any kind of payoff. It was embarrassing to see a legit monster heel like Drew McIntyre being used in this manner.

There are a bunch of Superstars on the roster who could nail their roles as heels if they turn into one this year. Let's take a look at five of these Superstars.

#5 Aleister Black

The mysterious Superstar has recently debuted on the Raw roster, as a part of a tag team with the high-flying Ricochet. One look at Black is enough to assume him to be a dastardly heel. Black is anything but a heel at the moment, as he is making waves with his amazing move-sets on both brands.

Black has the look and charisma to be a full-fledged heel, and could turn as soon as post-WrestleMania. Let Black be drafted to one of the brands during the Superstar Shakeup. Just like what The Miz did to John Morrisson back in 2009, Black could attack Richochet before leaving his tag team partner and turn heel in the process.

#4 Dean Ambrose

Although The Lunatic Fringe has already turned heel a few months back, another one could be expected at any time. He is one of those Superstars who are completely unpredictable and could turn on their partner at any given moment.

Dean turned on Seth the night Reigns announced that he has Leukaemia. This time, Dean could turn out of jealousy on watching his brothers being in high profile matches at WrestleMania. The heel turn would make sure that we don't get another Shield reunion for a long time to come, as it has been done to death by this point.

#3 Asuka

Over the course of her entire tenure in NXT and WWE, Asuka has never been a full-blown heel. She was white-hot during her undefeated streak, until Charlotte defeated her at WrestleMania 34. Asuka went on to become an afterthought and lost to the likes of Mandy Rose and Carmella in the coming months.

It would be interesting to see how a heel Asuka character plays out on the main roster. Asuka is perhaps the most badass woman on the roster next to Ronda Rousey and has endured the worst of beatings in Japan, before she signed with WWE.

A heel Asuka would immediately become one of the most dangerous women on the entire roster, having no remorse for the safety of her fellow women wrestlers. This could be turned into a huge rivalry with Becky Lynch, who would become a serious threat to Asuka after defeating Rousey at WrestleMania 35.

#2 The New Day

Ever since KofiMania kicked off, rumours began running rampant of a New Day heel turn after Mania.

The consensus was that Kofi would go on to win the WWE title by pinning Bryan in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 35. On the SmackDown episode after WrestleMania, The New Day would turn on him immediately, citing reasons of pure jealousy. Xavier Woods and Big E could come out a week later, stating that Kofi would never have become the champion had it not been for the duo's efforts on social media and WWE TV.

This could lead to a handicap match, with the stipulation that whoever pins Kofi would become the WWE champion. Kofi would manage to come out victorious, thus moving him onto another opponent like Samoa Joe or Randy Orton. The scathing promos between the three superstars alone would be must watch TV.

Here's a Superstar who has proven to be a pro, no matter if he's a heel or a face.

AJ Styles' last heel run was one of the best things on SmackDown, as he battled with John Cena for months in a dream rivalry. They went on to have some of the greatest matches in recent memory.

AJ is heading to WrestleMania 35 with the intention of defeating The Viper, Randy Orton. This match is bound to be an instant classic, following which, AJ could move on to the red brand.

Styles has been on SmackDown for almost his entire WWE career. It's time to freshen up things and let him have some never seen feuds with the likes of Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. AJ and Seth is a match worthy of headlining a WrestleMania. Additionally, the Phenomenal One's rivalry against The Demon, Finn Balor is something the fans want to witness again.
