Starting a feud with Triple H, the conflict seemed to revolve around the Monday Night Wars, a confusing idea when you consider that the war had ended over a decade ago in 2001.

Despite this, their match at Mania 31, Sting's WWE in-ring debut, was sure to be a great match, as many expected the babyface Icon to shut the mouth of The Game.

That's not what happened.

Instead, the King of Kings went over, thanks to an assist by his DX comrades, and though Sting and Triple H would shake hands after, many fans were left reeling from this bad booking decision.
