The former 2-time WWE Champion AJ Styles has been in WWE for exactly three years and has never carried the Money in the Bank briefcase. Styles had a phenomenal run on Smackdown Live. He was the face of the brand and in his second reign as WWE Champion, he held the title for 371 days!

There was nothing left for him on the blue brand so moving to Raw was the best option possible. New opportunities and new rivalries await him, along with dream matches and championship opportunities. While AJ Styles carried Smackdown Live, Seth Rollins carried Raw for several years and he brought back the Universal Championship to Monday Night Raw, where it belongs.

In his first night on Raw after the Superstar Shake-up, The Phenomenal One competed in the main event and got the pinfall victory. Styles winning the Money in the Bank contract will not only be accepted by the WWE Universe, but it will also give us a dream feud if he manages to successfully cash it in on Seth Rollins.
