#1. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
Arguably the most famous hit and run in WWE history, this one takes us back to late 1999 and features one of wrestling's biggest ever stars, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. By November of that year, the Rattlesnake was hurting badly and needed some time away from the ring to recover.
This was easier said than done, as, given Austin's character, the former WWF Champion couldn't just walk away, so the decision was made to have him run down during the Survivor Series 1999 Pay Per View. After almost a year away from the ring, Austin returned to attack the driver Rikishi, but when the superheavyweight's push flopped, the story was changed that the Big Man only ran down the Bionic redneck on the orders of Austin's old nemesis: Triple H.
