Christian competed in "One more match" the same night

Christian's road to the World Heavyweight Championship was a long one since Captain Charisma made his WWE pay-per-view return at Over the Limit back in 2012. Even though the former World Heavyweight Champion didn’t exactly get “One More Match” for the biggest prize like he wanted -- he did, however, get two matches in on night — with a title on the line.

In Christian’s first match of the evening, he won a Battle Royal contest to earn either an opportunity at Cody Rhodes’ Intercontinental Championship or Santino Marella’s United States Championship. He went on to defeat Cody Rhodes in his second match of the night to capture the Intercontinental Championship.
