Charlie Haas and Jackie Gayda first met in WWE while both competed on SmackDown in 2004. Later that same year, the couple announced their engagement. They then tied the knot in 2005.
Haas and Gayda's marriage lasted for 15 years. However, the couple announced their divorce in December 2020. In an interview with Hannibal in December 2020, the former WWE Tag Team Champion stated that the divorce was tough for him and the couple's four kids.

"I’ve been out of the business about two years, went through a divorce, which was really tough for me and the kids," he said.
WWE released both Gayda and Haas in 2005. While the winner of Tough Enough 2 never returned to the company, her ex-husband made his comeback in 2006. He competed for another four years before WWE let him go again in 2010.
Gayda had not competed inside the ring since December 2011, when she lost to Winter at an FWE event. Meanwhile, her ex-husband recently made his IMPACT Wrestling in-ring debut. He faced Josh Alexander on the January 20 episode. However, the former WWE Tag Team Champion came up short.
