#1 Bianca Belair's Royal Rumble win earned her a title shot at WrestleMania 37

It was widely expected that Bianca Belair would choose Sasha Banks for WrestleMania 37 after winning the 2021 Royal Rumble. The 2020 WWE Draft left the SmackDown women's division a little lopsided in terms of viable challengers.
Bayley was one of the longest-reigning Champions in recent history, so she wasn't going to win. Carmella returned with a gimmick extremely similar to Sasha Banks, but she lost consecutive title matches against The Boss.

For those reasons, Belair was the most logical choice to challenge Banks at WrestleMania 37. The rest of the division was filled with suitable performers, but none seemed ready for a title shot at WrestleMania 37 as Belair.
The Riott Squad has been used as more of a tag team. The same goes for Natalya and Tamina, but that duo has recently been pushed as a threat to the WWE Women's Tag Team titles. Both teams are instead involved in the Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania 37.
Belair won the 2021 Royal Rumble after entering third and has been on the Road to WrestleMania 37 ever since. The EST did show up last year at the Show of Shows but not in an official match. WrestleMania 37 will mark her first match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Outside of Ronda Rousey, Asuka, and Nia Jax, there hasn't been a RAW or SmackDown Women's Champion since 2018 that wasn't a member of the Four Horsewomen of NXT. The last Champion outside of the aforementioned women was Alexa Bliss.
For that reason, Belair's first official WrestleMania match could signal a huge win for the rest of the women in WWE. Bayley, Banks, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, have all won both the RAW and SmackDown Women's titles. They have also dominated the women's divisions in WWE.
It'll be a huge step forward for someone outside that group to win a major title in WWE. Asuka has carried the RAW Women's title for much of the last year. She hasn't even seen much focus as RAW Women's Champ since Flair returned at Fastlane in December.
WrestleMania 37 could signal a slight changing of the guard if Belair dethrones Banks. Banks has held the title since Hell in a Cell in last October, so it has at least been her longest reign.
WWE needs to start relying on names other than the NXT Horsewomen. Belair could be one of the first names by winning her first WrestleMania match at WrestleMania 37.
