#2 Big E (Intercontinental Championship)
This could go one of two ways, as WWE has teased two separate feuds for the Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn. He had a confrontation with Big E a couple of weeks ago, who seemed to hint towards a title match. Meanwhile, Zayn was pinned by Daniel Bryan in last week's Pat Patterson Tribute Match.
With Bryan still likely to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble, Big E could be the next Superstar to step up to Zayn. WWE could make an IC title match for TLC on SmackDown, either this week or next week, with the former New Day star winning the belt.
Whether it happens at TLC or on TV, Zayn's days with the Intercontinental Championship seem numbered. With Christmas Day falling on a Friday this year, WWE might book a likely Big E title win on the 25th of this month. This would create a buzz for the taped episode of SmackDown while keeping the holiday episode exciting enough for viewers to tune in.
This would be a great next step for Big E, who is on his way to the main event scene on SmackDown. The past six months have seen a true upward shift in the prestige of the Intercontinental title, with its stock set to be elevated further.
