Former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler was one of the favorites to win the women's Royal Rumble match last year. She entered the match at the #30 spot. It almost looked like she would win, but instead Charlotte Flair eliminated her at the last moment and won the bout.

Yet Baszler dominated the field at the Royal Rumble. She eliminated eight Superstars from the match, tying the record set by Bianca Belair earlier in the night.

Baszler went on to unsuccessfully challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36. After she was lost in the shuffle for a while, she got into a feud with Nia Jax. The rivals eventually teamed up and won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

If they end up losing their titles WWE TLC 2020, it would be interesting to see how WWE books Baszler going forward. A great way to bring her back to the main event scene would be to have her win the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble Match. Many fans would love to see the dominant Shayna Baszler of NXT back. This version of Baszler could dominate the women's division for the foreseeable future.
