Might be floundering #3: Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio

The man of mystery made his triumphant return to the WWE during the Royal Rumble, and has since become a regular Smackdown Live Superstar.

His feud with Samoa Joe was interesting for the most part because the two men had seldom faced each other even in other promotions. While their clash of styles was entertaining, Rey did come up short in his title match against Samoa Joe at Wrestlemania 35.

Given that Rey Mysterio is in his forties, and struggling with accumulated wear and tear, what does the rest of his 2019 look like following a loss at the biggest sports entertainment extravaganza of the year?

Why Rey Mysterio might be floundering: Rey Mysterio's age, small stature, and injuries past and present might conspire to keep him from escaping the mid card doldrums. Rumors of a possible faction consisting of himself and Andrade and another superstar would only mean Rey was the number three man on the team.
