One of the greatest heels in WWE history, Triple H achieved a lot of success inside the ring as he has closed 7 WrestleMania shows. In his last few WrestleMania bouts, The King of Kings put over the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Ronda Rousey.

His first main event appearance came in the year 2000 when he defended his WWF Championship against The Rock, Big Show and Mick Foley in a fatal 4-way match. Even though the odds were stacked against him, Hunter retained his championship. Two years later, he battled Chris Jericho for the Undisputed WWF Championship, beating Y2J for the title.

His next three WrestleMania main event matches ended in a defeat. Chris Benoit first defeated him in a triple threat match that also featured Shawn Michaels. In the next two WrestleMania main events, Batista and John Cena beat him in singles bouts. The Cerebral Assassin got out of his rut when he defeated Randy Orton in a WWE Championship match. His last main event match was against Roman Reigns where the Big Dog defeated him fair and square in the middle of the ring.
