Following in the footsteps of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Cena slowly shifted his focus from in-ring competition to the silver screen after achieving almost everything in WWE.
The move proved to be the right one for The Cenation Leader who has now starred in over a dozen movies and has hosted several television shows.
The 16-time WWE World Champion has some sweet acting skills
For his acting skills, Cena won the CinemaCon ‘Action Star of the Year’ Award in 2017, making it the first award he’s won for his acting.
Now that he has become more prominent in Hollywood, we will likely see him get nominated for several more acting awards.
While Cena has now been taking several more movie projects as he has almost entirely stepped away from the WWE ring, we will continue to see him appear for the company whenever they require his services.
Apart from that, Cena has also won the Make-A-Wish Foundation Special Recognition Award for being the first person to grant 300 wishes. Cena has now granted over 500 wishes for the company.
