Mickie James has had quite a career in WWE and pro wrestling in general, but it seems that it's coming to an end soon. James has not wrestled on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 when she was in the Battle Royal which took place on the pre-show. Mickie James did take part in WWE live events, which is where she suffered an injury that has kept her out till now.

She injured her knee last year, but she should be fit and ready to go now. James' contract is set to expire soon and we aren't quite sure if she has a future in the WWE. She is now a free agent in WWE having not been picked in the 2019 WWE Draft.

Mickie James has been a part of WWE television as a commentator for WWE Main Event, which she did on a few occasions. She recently teased a match with current RAW Women's Champion Asuka, which could perhaps be one match that James could have if she does return to wrestling in the WWE soon.
