Debuting in WCW in the mid-90s, Chris Kanyon was a part of the promotion until it was bought off by WWE in March 2001. His WWE PPV debut came at InVasion 2001, a PPV that featured several matches pitting WWE Superstars against former WCW and ECW stars.

At the event, Kanyon teamed up with Shawn Stasiak and Hugh Morrus and the trio defeated Big Show, Albert, and Billy Gunn. Kanyon soon formed an alliance with DDP and went on to win the Tag Team titles by defeating Faarooq and Bradshaw, The A.P.A.

In late 2001, Kanyon faced Brock Lesnar on three separate occasions. The Beast managed to put Kanyon down in the first two matches, but things didn't work out as he had planned in their final match. Kanyon pinned Lesnar on the October 20, 2001, edition of WWE Live.
Kanyon was released from WWE in early 2004, after not being used on TV for a long time. He tragically passed away on April 2, 2010, leaving behind a note of apology for his family.
