Last year, former WWE Diva Paige made a return to WWE TV and announced that she would be managing a brand new team that would take the Women's Tag Team titles off of The IIconics. The team was revealed to be Asuka and Kairi Sane, with the duo being dubbed as The Kabuki Warriors. It took a while for the two women to capture the belts though. At WWE Hell In A Cell 2019, The Kabuki Warriors finally won the Women's Tag Team belts by defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
They held on to the belts for a long time and finally lost them to Bliss and Cross at WrestleMania 36. Earlier this year, Kairi Sane got married to her longtime partner. A short while ago, rumors began running rampant regarding Sane's possible WWE exit. In late July, Sane was attacked by Bayley in a backstage area on WWE RAW, thus writing her off WWE TV. As a result of Sane's exit from WWE, The Kabuki Warriors became history. Asuka is currently a singles Superstar on RAW, where she holds the brand's Women's title belt.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
