#2 Former WWE Divas Champion Paige
Paige's WWE career is an unfortunate case. Her enigmatic rise to the top of the women's division was portrayed in the film Fighting With My Family. It, however, did not capture the tragedy that unfolded.
With her personal life being a hotbed of controversy, Paige was forced to retire from in-ring competition due to injury. She has since been a part of WWE in various roles, including a stint as the SmackDown General Manager and her current role as an ambassador.
With once-retired superstars Edge and Daniel Bryan back in the ring, Paige, too, may return at some point in the future.
#1 Former WWE NXT Women's Champion Kairi Sane
Kairi Sane is the only entry on the list not to win a singles title on the WWE main roster. She is also the only entry to have much promise as an active performer as she is still in her prime. The Mae Young Classic winner is one of the best female wrestlers on the planet.
Sane chose to leave WWE to return to her native Japan to join her husband. She was provided with a well-documented farewell and a position as an ambassador for the company in Japan.
The former Kairi Hojo wasting the best years of her career in a non-wrestling role is a tragedy, and a return should be imminent now that WWE has terminated plans of a Japanese expansion.
